18.2 CrossFit Open includes the following workouts:
1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10 reps for time of:
- dumbbell squats (50s/35s)
- bar facing burpees
18.2a is: 1RM clean
You have 12 minutes to complete both.
Movement Tips
Position dumbbell on the side of the bar, so you can get to them as quickly as possible no matter which side you will end up after burpees.
Dumbbell squats
- Don’t break them. Try to have as little rest as possible
- There are multiple ways to hold them. I’ve had them laying on the shoulders, people had them standing on the shoulders. Find the one way that is most comfortable for you.
- Wear gloves.
Bar facing burpees
- Make sure to take of with both feet and land with both feet.
- Bring your foot closer to your hands when you jumping up, so you’ll end up closer to the bar and it will be easier to hop over.
